加拿大自然资源部(NRCan)已于2011年10月12日通过新的能源效率修正法案, 发行Canada Gazette Part II公布Amendment 11, 并要求在六个月后(2012年4月12日)要开始强制执行。

Canada Gazette Part II文件将原有强制要求能源效率确认的七类产品类别(如下)，又纳入五项新产品类别(如下),对这些产品的限制值要求更为严格。

七类产品类别：

1. Electric motors电动马达

2.Residential gas boilers家用瓦斯热水器

3.Residential oil boilers家用燃油热水器

4.Dry-type Transformers干式变压器

5.Large air-conditioners and heat pumps大型空调机及加热泵浦

6.Commercial self-contained refrigeration商用调节型冰箱

7.General service incandescent reflector lamps一般用白炽反射灯

五项新产品类别：

1. Standby for audio/video electronic products影音电子产品待机模式,

2. External power supplies外接式电源供应器,
