Panjin Ethylene Industry Corporation was established in August, 1990.Since it was put into production, it has been ranking for 5 successive years among the first 500 large scale industrial enterprises and the first 100 powerful chemical enterprises of the country, It was cited as an Advanced Unit for two times by Liaoning Province. It is one of the best credit (AAA) enterprises of Liaoning Province and one of the 18 bases of chemical industy in China.

The annual capacity of the complex is 130,000 tons of ethylene,125,000 tons of polyethylene,40,000 tons of polypropylene,60,000 tons of styrene,30,000 tons of polystyrene, and 80,000 tons of hydrogenated gasoline. The main products range over low pressure, various density polyethylene, homopolymer and copolymer polypropylene, high impact and general purpose polystyrene, etc, with more than 50 grades. The major grades are high density polythylene: HD5070EA and HD5010EA; linear low density polyethylene:LL0209AA; polypropylene:F401 and P340 ,etc: high impact polystyrene:825E and 825TV; general purpose polystyrene:525,535,and styrene monomer etc. The complex can produce various grades which are suitable for film injection molding .filament or fibre. All the products are of good processability. Due to its high strength, the high impact polystyrene can take the place of engineering plastic, The general purpose polystyrene is good both in clarity and insulation property, and suitable for a great variety of products. The price is reasonable and the quality takes the lead in the country. The products are sold over 23 provinces, cities or autonomous regions and exported to countries and regions such as Viet Nam, Japan, DPR Korea, Repulic of Korea and Hongkong.
